10am: Music and voice

10:45: Dance/Theater

What does this camp offer?

CREATIVE EXPRESSION, PHYSICAL FITNESS AND PERSONALIZED ATTENTION. At our camp, kids will be introduced to various styles of dance, music and storytelling as a means for self expression and discovery. Along with outdoor play, these activities will enhance flexibility, coordination and overall physical fitness. Small groups of 10 or less, led by passionate, experienced professionals, will ensure individualized guidance and support.

MICHELLE BRUGAL

Michelle uses dance as a tool for self-expression. Connecting music and movement through thoughtful and creative programming, her classes deliver effective and empowering results. She holds a BFA in dance from Fordham University/The Ailey School and has more than 15 years professional experience as a performer and teacher. Her credits range from Broadway musicals like Aida and The Lion King, to commercials for Rihanna, Coca Cola, and Got Milk?, to performances with world renowned artists like Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Future. You can also catch her on screen in HBO’s Vinyl and Netflix’s The Get Down. Alongside her dance and modeling career, Michelle has honed her fitness skills working for various boutique fitness studios in New York City where she trained celebrities, athletes, children, teens, and moms. Michelle is a NASM certified personal trainer and Women’s Fitness Specialist.

Mili Ylla is an argentine born, New York City based artist, currently studying dance on scholarship at Ballet Arts Center for Dance, under the direction of Stephen Reed. Besides being a talented performer, she is a passionate dance teacher and children’s events entertainer. She has extensive experience working with children, from infants to teens, and focuses on creating a fun and nurturing environment where they feel safe to explore movement through the use of their imagination and connection to music. She has worked with Latin Groove Dance New Jersey, The Brunswick School, Nieves Dance School, Sheridan Academy, and Idols Dance. 

Felmar Dean is a Harlem-based multimedia artist known for hosting vibrant pop-up events, facilitating youth workshops, and creating striking murals throughout the city. His global outreach includes the Senegalese Grow Project, an impactful initiative where he and his team painted murals at a school in Diokhor Kaw, Senegal, and raised funds to construct two new classrooms. Felmar is deeply committed to integrating his passion for art, education, and community engagement. Currently, he teaches visual arts at a Bronx high school and is pursuing a master's degree in special education, continually seeking to enrich his art practice and educational impact.
